Meet Nicole Corning, Managing Partner at Buckman & Corning Financial Strategies Group of Pathlight Advisors. Care Fund is thrilled to have welcomed some incredible new members to our Board of Directors this year.
Nicole has been part of the finance and banking industry in Scottsdale, AZ since 2001. She is a designated Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®), focusing primarily on corporate and non-profit retirement plans. She is passionate about empowering women to consider finance as a profession and supporting them once they're in the field.
Nicole is a member of the Retirement Advisor Council and was named one of the Top Women Advisors by the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA) in 2018 through 2022. Prior to coming to Arizona, Nicole resided in Washington, DC and had a career in politics. She had the honor of working on two presidential campaigns as well as several senatorial and congressional campaigns around the country.
Nicole is also a published author and hosts a weekly podcast and writes a blog that is featured on WorkingMother.com. In 2012 she published The Working Mommy’s Manual as a guide to help empower and inspire women to trust themselves and choose their own paths towards happiness as they define it (http://www.theworkingmommysmanual.com).
She has appeared on the Katie Couric Show and has been featured in Financial Planning Magazine, NAPA-Net Magazine, Plan Sponsor Magazine & Investment News, 401K Specialist Magazine, and Plan Consultant Magazine. In 2020 she was named the inaugural chairwoman of the American Retirement Association Council for Women. She is a graduate of Scottsdale Leadership Class XXIV. Nicole graduated Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She has two sons, (one at ASU Barrett and the other is playing football in high school), three loyal rescue dogs, and has been happily married to the man of her dreams, Peter Corning since 2001.
